Leavesden Road Baptist Church (LRBC) was founded in 1896 by members of Beechen Grove Baptist Church in the centre of Watford, to serve the rapidly developing area to the north of the town. The church is now a spiritual
home to many people of all ages. Together we worship God and seek to
carry out His will, caring for one another and the wider community.
God loves everyone, and LRBC welcomes you in His name. We celebrate being part of God's people locally, nationally and internationally, and have many links with other Christian and non-Christian organisations, for example
We are affiliated to the Baptist Union of Great Britain and the Central Baptist Association. As a church, we give regular financial support to the Baptist Missionary Society, Home Mission Fund and Christian Aid. CARING FOR OTHERS As God's people we want to show His love in the way we care for each other and the wider community. We are all responsible for showing this care and mutual support. However, to ensure as far as possible that no-one with a need or concern "slips through the net" we have a system of "link friends". Our Care Co-ordinator organises the link friends and church visitors, for example for the housebound or those in hospital. The safety, security, dignity and respect of everyone is of prime concern to us all, in particular towards those in our fellowship who are vulnerable. We operate a "Caring for One Another" policy whereby anyone who has responsibility for children or young people is vetted and trained.
