Groups and Activities

 
 

Boys' and Girls' Brigades

The church has flourishing Boys' Brigade and Girls' Brigade companies, providing a wide range of activities for children from 5 - 18.

Lots for Tots

This runs on Tuesday mornings between 9.30am - 11.30am during school term times. There are lots of toys for babies and toddlers, and one or two activities.

Adults enjoy a chat and a cuppa - admission is free. As well as mums we welcome dads, grandparents and other carers.

You don't have to be a regular churchgoer to bring your baby or toddler to one of our Sunday morning services for an act of thanksgiving and blessing.

Senior Citizens

A friendly group of our older folk meet for cooked lunch and fellowship in the church hall each Thursday.

Some years, members have the opportunity to go on a week's holiday. In recent years this has been spent in Bournemouth, and has proved to be very popular and enjoyable

Monday Fellowship

This group meets on the fourth Monday of each month at 8pm in the church lounge (details in monthly magazine and on the weekly newsletter) to enjoy a broad range of activities and speakers. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly.

Leisure for Pleasure

This group meets in the hall on Friday afternoons from 2pm - 4.30pm, to enjoy activities such as bowls, darts and Scrabble. All are welcome. £1 per session includes tea or coffee.

Prayer And Bible Study

If you would like to join others to pray other than on a Sunday, you would be most welcome at the following meetings.

Prayer Meeting every Wednesday at 9am in the Church Lounge.

There is also a prayer room, right at the heart of our premises, which is a quiet space, available to everyone.

At various times of the year, fellowship groups meet for discussion and Bible study, usually in people's homes. These are open to all, and details of topics and venues are publicised in the monthly magazine and weekly newssheet. The atmosphere is informal and friendly, and you don't need to do or say anything if you don't want to. Just turn up - no need to book.
